TFA - Meet your clones

for those who don't own the second Allspark Almanac: Swindle apparently made his very own Starscream clones to use as bodyguards (Dirge the greedy clone and Thrust the envious clone) he however finds them annoying as hell and would let them go cheap...

So why not just give them "almost free" to the prototype
